Does Visbiome Vet Advanced GI Care contain milk?Updated 4 months ago
Visbiome Vet Advanced GI Care products contain milk. Some milk components are used as a fermentation nutrient. Trace amounts of milk protein may be present in the finished product.
Visbiome Vet Constipation Care packets do not contain milk.
The reason Visbiome Vet Advanced GI Care may contain trace amounts of the milk protein is because the probiotics are grown on a culture containing skim milk. This ensures the health and vitality of the probiotics, which are naturally found in dairy itself- so therefore, this is the best source of "food" for the probiotics. The probiotics are isolated from the medium on which they are grown, but because we can't 100% guarantee that there are no trace amounts remaining on the bacteria, we provide this warning.
Lactose Status – Visbiome Vet is Lactose-free: Lactose was not detectable in amounts greater than 50 parts per million (PPM).
Those pets allergic or intolerant to dairy should consider that trace amounts of dairy may be present in Visbiome Vet. We recommend consulting with your veterinarian directly if you have any questions about whether or not Visbiome Vet Advanced GI Care is right for your pet.
